5th Annual Chrissy Strong-Marshall Memorial Kickball Tournament

On Saturday, January 24, 2015, the 5th Annual Chrissy Strong-Marshall Memorial Kickball Tournament will be held at El Dorado Park in Long Beach. Chrissy was a dear friend of mine and a Bureau Manager for the City of Long Beach Parks, Recreation and Marine Department. As Bureau Manager, Chrissy was responsible for overseeing all recreation programs for the City of Long Beach.

Chrissy was known for her passion and dedication to the Long Beach Community and fought for inclusiveness of all people. But while fighting for others, Chrissy was fighting her own battle. The battle of cancer, which hat she valiantly fought for seven years, until she passed away in 2009 at the age of forty. Each year, this popular tournament brings together hundreds of Long Beach City Employees and friends to participant in a fun-filled day while raising funds for two worthwhile charities.

On behalf of the Board of Directors of the National Law Enforcement Cancer Support Foundation (LECSF), I am asking for your generous support by becoming a Corporate Sponsor for this year’s tournament. The Corporate Sponsorship cost is only five-hundred dollars and qualifies you to have your business name and logo on the tournament banner and t-shirt. Additionally, all sponsors receive recognition and a beautiful engraved plaque at opening ceremonies. All donations are tax deductible and proceeds from the tournament are donated to the National Law Enforcement Cancer Support Foundation and to Team Chrissy as they participate in the Annual Walk for Hope, benefiting the City of Hope.

The National Law Enforcement Cancer Support Foundation provides free emotional support, guidance and resources to all members of the law enforcement community, during a cancer experience. As a volunteer-driven, donor supported nationwide organization, National Law Enforcement Cancer Support Foundation members comprise a network of law enforcement cancer survivors who are committed to serve others by upholding bravery, faith, strength and courage during a cancer journey.

I hope you will support our work and help us to continue to fulfill our very important mission. For further information please contact us.

Once again, thank you for your generosity.
